volume of a cylinder

Volume of a cylinder is calculated using following formula

Volume of a cylinder (V) = πr2h

for example if :

r = 10 cm
h = 30 cm
π = 3.14159

then Volume of cylinder (V) = (3.14159) x (10)2 x 30

                                            = 9424.8 cm3

circumference of a circle

Circumference of circle is calculated using following formula

Circumference of Circle (C) = 2πr

for example if :

r = 10 cm
π = 3.14159

then Circumference of Circle (C) = 2 x 3.14159 x 10

                                                     =  62.8 cm

how to find the area of a circle

Area of circle is calculated using following formula

Area (A) = πr2

for example if :

r = 10 cm

π = 3.14159

then Area of Circle (A) = (10) x (3.14159)2

                                       =   98.6 cm2

how to find the radius of a circle

Calculate Radius of circle using formula

Radius (r) = Diameter of Circle (D) / 2

for example : if diameter of circle is 10 cm

then radius of circle shall be r = 10/2 = 5 cm.
